Bilderberg ha scelto l’Italia per il meeting che ogni anno riunisce personalità di spicco del mondo politico, economico, accademico e dei media. Come anticipato dal Corriere, la 66esima riunione dell’esclusivo club fondato da Rockfeller nel 1954, si tiene dal 7 al 10 giugno a Torino.
Nell’elenco dei partecipanti, disponibile sul sito web del gruppo, figurano ministri, industriali, amministratori delegati di multinazionali e i vertici di numerose banche.
A porte chiuse
Secondo le regole del Bilderberg, due terzi dei partecipanti vengono dall’Europa, il resto dall’America del Nord.
La conferenza si svolge a porte chiuse secondo la regola di Chatham House: i partecipanti sono liberi di utilizzare le informazioni ricevute, ma non può essere rivelata l’identità del relatore.
Gli italiani
Tra gli italiani nell’elenco dei 128 partecipanti figurano John Elkann, presidente di Fca e di Exor, la giornalista Lilli Gruber, il direttore generale della Banca d’Italia Salvatore Rossi e il segretario dello Stato Vaticano, cardinale Pietro Parolin.
Gli argomenti chiave
Sono dodici gli argomenti chiave di discussione. Al primo posto il populismo in Europa, seguono la sfida della disparità, il futuro del lavoro, l’intelligenza artificiale.
E ancora gli Stati Uniti prima delle elezioni di medio termine, il libero scambio, la leadership mondiale degli Stati Uniti e la Russia.
Tra i temi anche il computer quantistico, Arabia Saudita e Iran, il mondo `post-verità´ e eventi attuali.

I partecipanti, grazie alla natura privata della conferenza, non sono vincolati - spiega Bilderberg - dalle convenzioni dei loro uffici o da posizioni già concordate.
Possono quindi prendersi il tempo per ascoltare, riflettere e raccogliere idee. «Non c’è alcun risultato auspicato, non vengono presi verbali e non viene scritta alcuna relazione. Inoltre - conclude Bilderberg - non vengono proposte risoluzioni, non si procede a votazioni e non vengono rilasciate dichiarazioni programmatiche».
